These photos are just a few of the most severe among
hundreds of documented crashes involving pregnant women
found in a search of the photo archives from the NHTSA's
National Automotive Sampling System (NASS), a small sample
of tow-away U.S. crashes. Cases are available back to 1997
and up to the present year.
